Rhys Mallows Owner & Director, My team and I have implemented the BRCGS standards from the outset, and all our hard work attain the accreditation has paid off. We have now become an unannounced site and we will be planning this for sometime and have invested heavily to ensure we gained the accreditation.’

BRCGS, (British Retail Consortium Global Standards) The BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard has set the benchmark for over 20 years. Adopted by over 20,000 sites in 130 countries, the standard is accepted by 70% of the top 10 global retailers, 60% of the top 10 quick-service restaurants, and 50% of the top 25 manufacturers.

Now in its 8th edition, the standard has constantly evolved to protect the consumer. It was the first standard to be GFSI benchmarked, as well as introduce food safety culture requirements, define food fraud, and reduce audit burden through additional modules.

Developed with input from industry, it provides a framework to manage product safety, integrity, legality and quality, and the operational controls for these criteria in the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing, and packing industry

Mallows Bottling has the capability and understanding to be the outsourced manufacturer (bottler) for brands and supermarkets globally and have strong growth plans for their alcoholic and non-alcoholic production site.

We now become one of the few and a rare company that are certified BRCGS for alcoholic and non-alcoholic manufacturing in the UK. The new site has been purpose built by the Welsh Government in partnership with the local council, Rhondda, Cynon Taff, built to European standards.

Rhys Mallows, Director, ’When we established the company, we wanted to be a leading bottler in Europe, and from the outset wanted to have BRCGS – this will now further open doors for us to expand and reach more bottling customers.
